Our Programs

General Outreach

Our mission is to raise awareness about socio-economic limitations and organ donations by educating on preventive measures, advocating for the disadvantaged and providing financial assistance for dialysis patients, transplant recipients (pre and post) as well as others in the community that are at risk. Our initiative serves all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds, with a major focus on historically underrepresented minority groups. We also provide hardship assistance for prescription medication for those who can not afford anti-rejection medication or other essential necessities to help support a healthy lifestyle.

Patience for PAWRENTS

Pets are not only considered to be family, but therapeutic and quintessential for health and healing. However, there are many tasks that come along with caring for pets that could seem insurmountable while a patient is waiting for a transplant or recovering from one.GOALFE would provide financial assistance for pet services while patients are in the recovering stage or are on dialysis waiting to be transplanted. We are partnering with animal hospitals, kennels, and doggie daycares as well as other neighboring pet companies to accomplish these tasks.

GOALFE Mental Health

Our mental health program offers our clients and their families peace of mind in a confidential environment. Experts have found that when someone finds a professional they can confide in, it provides them an outlet to release anxiety and tension from building up and possibly having catastrophic consequences. The GOALFE team consists of professionals with over 45 years of experience in mental health working with SAMSHA, under the leadership of Dr. H. Wesley Clarke, MD. JD, M.R.H., CAS. FSAM. during 2013. This includes peer to peer counseling and substance abuse. This program will be available for the community pre and post transplant, each patient will be assessed and assigned a mental health provider for 1-2 hours per week.
